Noah Harper, age 10, is in a wheelchair. He was micro-preemie, born at 24 weeks. He has cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, he’s legally blind, and he has some autism. For two years now his family has been trying to put together enough money to get a wheelchair accessible van. Now with help from the community that dream has come true.
MV-1, a manufacturer of accessible transportation had a special promotion going on. They reached out to Performance Mobility of Sandy, a dealer in accessible vehicle transportation, and worked together to help the Harper family into the van they needed, but wasn’t just MV-1 and Performance Mobility that stepped up to the plate. Salt Lake City Wyndham Vacation Ownership held a charity poker tournament raffle for the Harper family, raising them $7,000.00. Plus, community donations brought in over $6,000.00 for the Harper family to put toward their van.
In the end, Noah got his wheels, a party with Batman and day he won’t soon forget. And when we asked him how felt about all this he said he was happy.
How do you find time to post amazing stuff like this all the time?
